Meet Dr. Gustavo Giovannetti
Dr. Gustavo Giovannetti is a native of Maturin, Venezuela. The son and brother of veterinarians, he’s had a true love for animals since he was a child. In fact, growing up, he spoke of no other desired profession than veterinary medicine. Dr. Gustavo has always had a passion for caring for larger animals with his father, including horses, livestock, and pigs.
He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1996. Soon after, he started as a medical practitioner for farm animals. He later opened the Giovannetti Animal Clinic for small animals in his hometown, where he met his wife, Rosalba, who he has been married to for 22 years.
After moving to the United States in 2009, seeking a better future for his family, Dr. Giovannetti worked in various veterinary medical facilities until he found Wellswood Midtown Animal Hospital. He became Wellswood’s owner, passed all requirements from the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine, achieved his Florida veterinary license, and is now a certified veterinarian in both the United States and Venezuela.
